Seán and Rob will be taking part in an online Q&A next Tuesday 11th February
Seán and Rob run a mixed enterprise on 20 hectares near Strandhill, Co. Sligo. Just four years in operation, they have closed their fertility loop, producing all their own compost and earning two good incomes and employing a third person. They rear Belted Galloways for beef, using mob-grazing methods of grassland management. They produce eggs by keeping their 300 laying hens on pasture, rotating behind the Belties. And, they produce 18 crops off their one-acre chemical-free market garden. Where they only spend half a day weeding all year, through the use of no-dig methods. They sell direct to their local community through their farm shop and are passionate about educating people about local and sustainable food.
