Overseeding on existing paddocks

Hi folks, I was looking into the idea of adding some new grass species to my existing award but don't want to upset the soil too much.

I was looking into the idea of using the chain harrow over well grazed ground to expose some bare soil and then broadcasting seed with a manure shaker followed by rolling the ground or possibly another run with the chain harrow after.
